Explain half-duplex and full-duplex communication?

Duplex is a method of communication method in which a
system can send and receive data i.e bi-directional
communcation.
Half Duplex is the system in which either data is
transmitted or received (any one process at a time)
Full duplex is the system in which data is transmitted and
received simultaneously
