mechanical engineering is the most practical oriented
engineering branch which gives scope for easy understanding
of topics and a practical approach .all the subjects like
thermodynamics,fluid mechanics,engineering mechanics are
applications of physics only.Obviously if one is interested
in physical sciences he can play with mechanical
engineering subjects like any thing in my view.As i m much
interested in physics from my school days,i did diploma in
mechanical engineering and my btech also in mechanical
engineering with an ease in understanding the
topics ,ofcourse u should hav strong basic concepts
All the best
