3.RATIO BETWEEN ACTIVE POWER AND APPARANT POWER IS CALLED
POWER FACTOR.
POWER FACTOR= ACTIVE POWER/APPARANT POWER
= VICOS/VI
If the load is inductive,pf is lagging.
If the load is capacitive,pf is leading.
If the load is resistive,pf is unity.
pf can be found out from the power triangle
