no dc transformer does not exist . If a transformer is
given dc supply no emf would be induced in the secondary of
transfomer as there is no flux linkage between primary &
secondary the primary would draw more current from the
supply mains and the primary would be burnt .

In Power Line Communication (PLC) the wave trap is used to block communication signals from entering neighboring lines. My question is this: Why do they allow for different filtering arrangements on these wave traps?
