What is difference between ball screw and lead screw.
Answer Posted / shriram.....
Function of lead screw & ball screw are same like nut & bolt
Lead screw means it one threaded screw.
Lead screw used for conventional machines like lath,
sapping, drilling machines
Lead screw gives 20-micron accuracy & it has wear & tear is
more as compare to ball screw.
Ball screw used where high accuracy & performance required
like in CNC machining center. In ball screw balls are used
for smooth operation in this case
Wear & tear is less as compare to lead screw.
