What is the difference between voltage transformer and
potential transformer?
Answer Posted / abhinav gupta
a potential transformer is used to measure high voltages,
the output of a typical potential transformer may be 110v,
where as its high voltage side can be in kvs (11,33,110,220
etc.)in other words pts are only step down, now voltage tfs
are devices which either step up or step down voltages of
an electric current.
