what is meant by orderm of a system. will the stability of a
system increases by incresing order of a system
Answer Posted / banibrata mukherjee
In the transfer function of the system the highest power
of 's'(in s domain) of the polynomial in the denominator
gives the order of the system.
Let the transfer function of a system is= (5s+1)/
(s^4+2s^3+3s^2+s+1). Here order of the system=4.
Increasing the order basically means adding of poles in the
system. So the stability of the system will decrease if
order is increased.
