which motor is suitable for traction? why?
Answer Posted / jsenthamizh
D.c series motor used in traction purpose, beacause we know
any type of d.c motor Torque is directly proportional flux
and armature current.particularly in d.c series motor
torque is directly proportional to flux and square of
armature current, so ite starting torqe is high.which
reason for d.c series motor used in traction purpose.
