Application contains many text fields,buttons etc.Many test
cases can be written for the application.I read that test
cases should not be too many.So text fields can be tested
by entering Blank space,special symbols,Alphanumeric
data,Empty & so on IF I write for all these data for every
text field on each screen then my test cases will be
unnecessarily too long .I m confused here wether I write
Test cases for all or not.Suggest me the proper answer.I
want answer from Experienced person

I should appreciate ur question! But ur Q having confusion
itself because ur asking to test "Blank space,special
symbols,Alphanumeric data,Empty" features for test above
feature u need to go for EXTENSIVE Testing (Like BVA and
ECP etc)but extensive testing is having too many test cases
The only solution for ur Q is
Perpare Test date in table and give hyperlink of table at
test description then ur test case will be simple but cover
all feature in "Test data table"
