DC drives performing the following functions:
1.speed control of DC motors
2.Breaking by applying resistance at rotor.
3.uses converter and chopper.
AC drives performing the following functions:
1.speed control of AC motors
2.Breaking/accelerating by changing the frequency of the
supply.
3.uses converter and inverter.
