What is meant by transformer, why it should be used, with
out that equipment what happens if we transformed the
supply?
Answer Posted / m.b.karthic
transformers are static device....they are used to step up
or step down the voltage in the transmission line....without
transformers the transmission will not be possible because
from the generating station the the voltage must be stepped
up for transmission purpose and after that it has to be
stepped down for domestic and industrial usage
