What are the different lines and what are the different
types of losses occur on them?

Answer Posted / manish meena

1)short transmission line: when the length of an overhead
tranmission line is about 50 km and line voltage is <20kv
2) medium transmission line: when the length of an overhead
transmission line is about 50-150 km and line voltage is
>20kv<100kv.
3) long transmission line: when the length of an overhead
transmission line is about more than(>150km) and line
voltage is >100kv.
Main losses are corona losses, losses due to inductance and
capacitance(but these are negligible)
