What is meant by transformer, why it should be used, with
out that equipment what happens if we transformed the
supply?

transformer is an equipment which is used to transfer
power, voltage, current with out changing its frequency.it
is also used to increase or decrease the voltage by using
diffeent types of transformers like step-up and step down
transformers.if we transfer the power with out transformer
the voltage rating will come down as the distance of
transmission is increasing.
