The origin of the State Bank of India goes back to the first
decade of the nineteenth century with the establishment of
the Bank of Calcutta in Calcutta on 2 June 1806. Three years
later the bank received its charter and was re-designed as
the Bank of Bengal (2 January 1809). A unique institution,
it was the first joint-stock bank of British India sponsored
by the Government of Bengal. The Bank of Bombay (15 April
1840) and the Bank of Madras (1 July 1843) followed the Bank
of Bengal. These three banks remained at the apex of modern
banking in India till their amalgamation as the Imperial
Bank of India on 27 January 1921.

SLR: SLR is Statutory liquidity ratio. It is a part of
deposits that commercial banks are supposed to maintain with
themselves in liquid form ( Cash, Gold or Govt bonds).

CRR: CRR is Cash Reserve Ratio. It is a percentage of Bank
deposits that Commercial banks are supposed to maintain in
cash form with RBI. It is the monetary control tool to
regulate the money supply of the country.

Bank rate:Bank rate is the rate of interest which RBI
charges on the loans and advances that it extends to
commercial banks and other financial institutions.

Repo Rate: Repo rate is the discount rate at which RBI

depending on the level of money supply it decides to
maintain in the country's monetary system.

RBI borrows money from banks. Banks are always happy to lend
money to RBI since their money are in safe hands with a good

Good news for us.. Just now I heard that result will be
declared before July 10th ... The vacancies are also
increased at 30% that's why there is a delay in the result...
They selected who ever scored the average marks and they
deleted the poor candidates only... So guys don't worry for
the results... Be happy... All the very best to all ....

Hi,
We have all the rights to ask any query regarding the
results to SBI? we spend our money as well as our precious
time with SBI. They can't even cancel the recruitment & we
are not puppets like you said. We have given our level
best... They may take time because of this big recruitment
but They can't even cheat us... SBI is one of the biggest
organizations,they can't even do that... pls wait, Let the
result to come... In future we will be the part of the org,
