To insert a table around existing text in Microsoft Word:
1. Select the text you want to surround with a table.
2. Go to the 'Insert' tab in the ribbon.
3. Click on 'Table' and choose the desired number of rows and columns from the dropdown menu.
4. The selected text will be automatically placed inside the new table.
