To create an Excel data source, follow these steps: 1. Open your Excel file. 2. Select the range of cells you want to use as a data source. 3. Go to `File` > `Save As`. 4. Choose the format `Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt)`. 5. Save the file in an appropriate location, giving it a descriptive name. Your Excel data is now a text file that can be used as a data source.
