What is region, edge, zone?
Answer / Salman Khan
In Amazon Web Services (AWS), a Region is a geographical area (like US East or EU West) where resources are located. An Edge Location refers to the physical infrastructure sites where AWS services like CloudFront, Route 53, and Direct Connect are present. A Zone is an isolated area within a Region that houses multiple data centers. Each Zone provides redundancy in case of an outage.
