What are the states of instance?
Answer / Sukhvir Singh
In Amazon Web Services (AWS), an EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instance goes through several states during its lifecycle. These states include: 1. Pending (instance is being launched); 2. Running (instance is available for use); 3. Stopping (instance is in the process of shutting down); 4. Terminated (instance has been stopped or terminated by you or AWS, and its resources are deleted); 5. Shutting-down (instance is being gracefully shut down to ensure all applications close correctly); and 6. Stopped (instance is not running but has not yet been terminated).
