What is the difference between the properties “id” and “cid” on a model object in backbone js?

The `id` property on a Model object is used to reference the unique identifier of the corresponding data item on the server. The `cid` (Collection ID) is an automatically generated unique id when no `id` property exists and is used by Collections to keep track of the models it contains.
