Is it possible to change the private IP addresses of an EC2 while it is running/stopped in a VPC?
Answer / Ranjeet Kumar Chanchal
No, you cannot change the primary network interface's private IP address once an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance is launched. However, you can replace the network interfaces on your instance, but this will result in stopping and rebooting the instance. For a running instance, you can detach the existing network interface and attach a new one.
