Restart allows a job to be interrupted and then resumed at a later time from the point where it was stopped. To use restart, you need to include the RESTART statement in your JCL with the appropriate options such as SAVE=YES or SAVE=NO, depending on whether you want to save the job's status when it is interrupted.
