No, a transistor cannot be obtained by connecting two semiconductor diodes back-to-back. A transistor is a three-terminal device made of semiconductors (usually silicon), while a diode is a two-terminal device. The three terminals on a transistor allow it to amplify or switch electronic signals, which cannot be achieved by connecting diodes.
