The Jurkat cell line is an immortalized human T-lymphocyte (T-cell) leukemia cell line derived from a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It's widely used in research for studying various aspects of T-cell biology, including signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene expression.
