ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) provides digital communication services that combine voice, data, video, and other multimedia services over a single connection. The ISDN 1:2 or 1:8 refers to the number of B-channels (bearer channels) and D-channels (data channels) in an ISDN line.nn- ISDN 1:2 has one B-channel carrying user data and one D-channel for signaling, network management, and control.n- ISDN 1:8 has eight B-channels carrying user data and one D-channel for signaling, network management, and control.nnBandwidth allocation refers to the process of dividing a communication channel's capacity among multiple users or services. This can be done statically (fixed bandwidth) or dynamically (adaptive bandwidth).nnDesigning a small network with 4 routers can be approached as follows:
1. Determine the network topology (star, ring, mesh, etc.).
2. Configure each router's IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and other necessary settings.
3. Connect the routers using ethernet cables or wireless links (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.).
4. Configure routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP) to enable communication between different network segments.
5. Verify connectivity by pinging devices on other networks and testing internet access.
