To calculate the secondary line voltage, line current, and output KVA for a 3-phase transformer with per-phase turns ratio of 12 (primary to secondary), we can use the following formulae:n
1. Turns ratio (Np/Ns) = 12
2. Primary Voltage (Vp) = 11 kV = 11,000 V
3. Secondary Voltage (Vs) can be calculated using the turns ratio: Vs = Vp * (Ns/Np)
4. Line Current (Ip or Is) is the same on both primary and secondary sides since it is a transformer with only one phase connected:nnA) Star-Delta connection:n - Secondary Voltage (Vs) = 11,000 V * (1/12) = 916.67 Vn - Line Current (Ip or Is) = 20 AnB) Delta-Delta connection:n - Secondary Voltage (Vs) = 11,000 V * sqrt(3) * (1/12) = 968.54 Vn - Line Current (Ip or Is) = 20 AnnTo calculate the Output KVA, we can use the formula: KVA = Volt-Ampere (kVAr) = Vs * Is (in kW) / Power Factor (pf). In this case, assuming a power factor of 1 (unity power factor), we get:nnA) Star-Delta connection:n - Output KVA = 916.67 V * 20 A = 18,333.4 WnB) Delta-Delta connection:n - Output KVA = 968.54 V * 20 A = 19,370.8 W
