AC injection methods use alternating current to simulate earth faults in a rotor, while DC injection methods use direct current. AC injection can better represent actual fault conditions but requires complex equipment due to the need for transformers to generate the desired frequency. On the other hand, DC injection is simpler and more cost-effective but may not fully replicate real-world scenarios.
