To calculate the efficiency of a single-phase motor, you can use the following formula:nnEfficiency (η) = (Power Output) / (Power Input)nFor motors, Power Output is typically measured in watts or horsepower, while Power Input includes both electrical power and mechanical losses. You'll need to measure the voltage (V), current (I), and power factor (PF) of the motor to find its input power (P_in). The power output can be found by measuring the mechanical work done (measured in watts or horsepower) during a specific time period.nnNote that efficiency values are expressed as a decimal (0-1) or percentage.
