A DG (Distributed Generation) setup that has a neutral point connected to the earth through an impedance, or where the DG system is not ground-fault-protected, requires neutral earthing. This prevents the buildup of voltage between the neutral and ground, ensuring safety and reducing the risk of electrical shocks.
