The amount of water required to cure a 1000 sq ft concrete slab depends on the specific mix design and environmental conditions. As a rough estimate, a common mix design requires about 25 gallons (94.6 liters) of water per cubic yard of concrete, with an average density of 145 pcf (pounds per cubic foot). Given that there are approximately 9 square feet in one square yard, a 1000 sq ft slab would require around 109.7 cubic yards of concrete. Using the water-to-concrete ratio mentioned above, this amounts to roughly 2845 gallons (approximately 10,637 liters) of water for curing.
