you can done database testing manually by writing SQL queries.

Goto start button------->control
panel--->performance&Maintainance---->Adminstrative
tools---->Data sources(ODBC)--->sytem DSN-->click on
add-->select the SQL Server---->finish----->specify the
name,descryption& server
