Material determination

Material determination enables the automatic substitution
of materials in sales documents during sales order
processing. For example, during the course of a sales
promotion, the system can, during sales order entry,
automatically substitute a material that has promotional
packaging. A consumer product may have a special wrapper
for, for example, the Christmas season. Using material
determination, the system substitutes the material only
during the specified period.


Product selection

Product selection uses material determination functions to
automatically propose a variety of substitute products
based on your requirements, customer requirements, and
product availability

When you enter a material in a sales order, the system
checks whether you have set up product selection for this
material. If so, it creates a list of possible
alternatives, checking each to determine current stock
availability, and whether the customer would accept it
based on the product attributes.

product selection is been used in material determination.
in substitution reason - strategy field (a&b) is used for
product selection.it will list the material in order to select
the material for determination.

In PRODUCT SELECTION YOU DEFINE THE PRODUCT OR THE
MATERAIL THE CLIENT SPECIFES BUT MATERILA DETERMINATION
REALTES TO SUBTITUING ONE MATERILA FOR SOME OTHER
MATERIAL .

What is the most difficult Ticket you faced in Support Project till date? In many interviews I have been asked this question. How to answer/ handle this question? They are asking/ insisting for most difficult & typical tickets and asking about my analysis and how I resolved that ticket? If you have any difficult tickets which can be easily explainable in an interview then provide me 2-3 Typical & Difficult tickets relevant to SD Module. In BOM suppose main item is A whose price is Rs 10000 and it is made up by 2 sub-items known as B & C whose prices are respectively rs 6000 and rs 4000 and including these two prices material A's price is rs 10000. Material B also can be sold independently but at that time that's price should be rs 7000.How it is possible?

How do you call up G/L accounts? You don't know which G/L accounts are posted to revenue keys account keys then from where can you directly access G/L accounts? Is there any alternate way to access G/L accounts other than t-code: VKOA transaction? From which Sales Screen/ Document you can check which G/L accounts are posted to your account keys? Can we access G/L accounts from Billing Document? Please provide detailed answer as this question is asked in many interviews?
