application.
retesting -----it is type of testing in which one will
perform the some functionalities of application with
multiple set of inputs.  |
| Mallikarjun [Megaware Technology] |
| |
| |
| Answer | ReTesting: execution of testcases is repeated with
differnet sets of data to ensure that the function/program
under test is functioning right
Regression Testing: is conducted in two situations
first, when the build is modified to fix a defect; second,
the build is modified to accommdate a new
feature/requirement. In both the cases, regression testing
is conducted to ensure that the modification does not
bring new defects;in other words, it does not affect the
unchanged build badly;
Retesting...most of the test are executed
Regression...high priority testcases are executed |

| Answer | Very Good Question;
Reason for assigning the status Postponed and
Deffered to a bug:
Deffered means the bug is expected to be fixed in future
releases.
The reasons for changing the bug to this state have many
factors.
Some of them are:
i. Priority of the bug may be low,
ii. Lack of time for the release (the bug may not have
major effect on the software).
iii.Technology limitation
iv. Need to add extra functionality to fix the bug anf
this new functionality will be added in future project
development iterations.
