Question
In material determination how you configure the system
should propose when product A is not available then only
system substitute with product B. If A is available 60%
quantity. How do you do in the situation?
Rank Answer Posted By

I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
In this situation product A rounds the quantity 50% in
material master send it 1st delivery

remaining 50% substitute product B in place of A in another
delivery date

0
Karun

Answer
Hi,

This can be achieved by Automatic Product Selection in
Material Determination. Use Substitution Reason 0004/0006
(Automatic Product Selection) while creating the master
data for material determinantion.

After creating the master data with the above mentioned
susbtitution reason maintain the list of products in proper
sequence i.e. Product A,B,C..System will first check for
the availability of Product A first and then substitute
with the next material if product A is not available.Incase
if Product A is partially available, then the system will
use all the available quantities of Product A first and
then fill the remaining quantities with Product B.

Thanks

Question
Can you explain about Higher-level item category and item usage?
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Meenu
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
hi
during item catafory determination if you want to detemine
your item category with your usage(requirement) the final
result is higher item category
ex- tan+free=tann

0
Sunil

Answer
Higher level item category -> e.g. an item is free with
some other item then item category of original item will be
Higher Level Item category for the item category of free
item.

Item Usage is hardcoded in ABAP programs.

0
Pinki

Answer
When a existing line item is refering to another line item,
the item category of the refered line item is called as
Higher level item category.
For eg:
Free goods-- You give 1 tv free for 10 tvs
10 tvs in one line item is refered by 1 tv in another line
item to say it is free for the 10 tvs.
here the item category of 10 tvs is the higher level item
category.

Also this is used in cases like Bill Of Material ( BOM)

Usage:

This is another component which is used to determine the
item category.

Usage can be-- FREE, TEXT, SERVICE etc etc..
for eg:

In standard SAP when you type some thing in the description
of the line item and even though you enter no other detail
it fetches the item category TATX

this is because it assumes the line item usage to be text.
So DOc type + TEXT==> TATX

hope this helped you to clear your query.

Thanks and regards
Siva

Answer
Hi,

We can work with ABAPer when there is bug in current
process, we can take the help of ABAPer to do the debugging
to find out where in which area of program doing the mistake.

Based on the debugging we can find the area in program for
the change and we can prepare the FS document.

And also above answers also correct.
