Question
How to define Logon groups? And what is Logon load balancing?
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Puppy
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Logon group are set using SMLG transaction.

Load blancing:

During the request message server check for the least
loaded instance in the group and route the request to that
instance.

If instead of logon group we specify the instance then the
request is routed to that instance only. Means no load
balancing occur in this case.

Question
Why do we need to apply support package thru client 000?

This Interview Question Asked @   Logica-CMG

Answer
For importing SP use 000 client. Other then 000 all other
clients are display only clients.
First of all its a nice question ...
We need to apply the support packages through client 000
because in SAP R/3 we just have three default clients 000,
001, 066 and the most updated one is client 000 and thats
the reason to copy a new client or to create a new client we
copy it from 000 and we apply the support packages through
client 000 as its the most updated one in the entire system.

T-Code to apply support packages is SPAM
Also Support packs access SAP Objects. So it need to be done
only in 000.

Shahid

Answer
Through sm51 t-code we can see whether it is unicode or not.
in sm51 t-doe we can find the release notes button in the
application tool bar if u click on that u can see the total
information like database, os, kernal version and uniicode
or non unicode.

0
Rajesh

Answer
Check status window from system menu from any SAP screen.
SM51 is somewhat puzzy. Or at OS level issue disp+work -
version.

These are the two area we can use to check unicode or non-
unicode of the system.

Patchipala

Answer
Completely wrong.

We cant just see Unicode/ Nonunicode by typing disp+work.

go to kernel directory
>cdexe
>disp+work

If the system is Unicode, it displays Unicode.
compilation mode UNICODE
If the system is Non Unicode , it displays nothing. ( It is
so important to specify this fucking shit !! )

Usually all ECC5 and higher version are supported by
unicode.
old versions are all nonunicode.
