| Answer | MAC stands for media access control address, is often
referred as physical address. It is a unique physical
address which is burned on any industrial standard using
Ethernet technology during manufacturing. It is a 32 bit
address. Commonly indicated by 6 pairs of hexadecimal
digits. This 32 bit address is divided in to two parts of 16
each, the most significant 16 bits are manufacturer ID which
is unique for each manufacturer, and remaining 16 bits are
Product ID which will be unique for Ethernet devices of any
single manufacturer. MAC falls in the Data link layer of the
ISO OSI. ARP translates the MAC address into the IP address
or vice versa. |

| Answer | Share Internet Using Router And Modem That Uses Usb.
Where as the USB modem, you'll need to turn PC A into a
router. Windows by default will not be a router unless you
bridge the 2 connection, or do internet sharing. Then it
start to behave a bit like router, thus the internet can
then be shared to the other 2 PCs. Without this step, you
can never access the internet from the other 2 pcs. |

| Answer | Routing is a layer three phenomina that means to forward a
packet to the destination address based on the ip address
fiend of the packet. As we know the the devices used at
layer three are aware of the routing table(Routers or layre
three switches) when these devices receives a packet they
look into there routing table which they dynamically learns
from the protocols or mannually by the administrator(static
routing). routing table maps the ip address to a particular
interface for forwarding . the packet is forwarded out to
that network .......same phenomina takes place untill the
packet reachec its destination |

| Answer | Short for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol,
the suite of communications protocols used to connect hosts
on the Internet. TCP/IP uses several protocols, the two main
ones being TCP and IP. TCP/IP is built into the UNIX
operating system and is used by the Internet, making it the
de facto standard for transmitting data over networks. Even
network operating systems that have their own protocols,
such as Netware, also support TCP/IP. |
