1.Spliting the messages
2.Merging the messages
3.For multicasting
4.Transforamtion
5.Control/monitor
6.Send an alert.

BPM is Business Process management.
In BPM we are using different steps like
Receive- it triggers in the initial step.
Send- it is for receiver step.
Receiver determination- it identifies the receiver.
Transformation- Splitting or Merging of messages .
switch- this acts like if/else statement.
control steps- it controls the process
    ex:cancel, throws exception,alert message
etc.

Business Process Management is an implementation methodology
for the management of business process that interacts with
people
and systems both within and across the organization.
When to use BPM
1.Control/Monitor the messages in XI
2. Collect/Merge the messages in XI
3. Split the messages in XI
4. To Multicast an Message
5. Send an Alert

The answers that were given is more from the coding 
perspective. BPM is used to automate the Business processes 
in the organization in order to increse the effciancy of 
the organization. It ties togather the people process and 
information. Normally an application is data oriented, a 
BPM is a Process driven applocation whi takes process 
driven approach. An application can be viwed as vertical, 
where as BPM  is a horizontal one which works across the 
applications

If we use BPM
- It improves process efficiency, 
- It ensure optimum resource utilization's and improve
productivity 
- It ensure process standardization executed exactly as defined
- Improve process control,supervisor can track and monitor
- Using BPM we can achieve agility.

Ans: We have 2 types of Transport Mechanisms in XI

1) File System tarnsport
2) CMS

File system is the easyest way to do.

Technical system is a physical system.it describes the
physical character stics of u r system.if u create
techinical system for u r R/3 system u must specify the host
name, and os.

  business system is a logical entity it describes the
logicol view of u r technical system. one technical system
we can create any number of business systems.

u might not be import the idoc  propery. first go to
integration repository --->go to import object option and
right click---import of sap object than u can import the idoc

we30 : create custome Idoc.

WE80: message type
we81 : assign idoc to message type.
