| Answer | Install SAP GUI on the central instance host
Preparing for Installation in Windows
You must use NTFS for an SAP system installation
Update Dynamic Link Libraries (r3dllins.exe)
Reducing the Size of the File Cache
Start -- Settings -- Control Panel -- Network and Dialup
Connections-- Local Area Connections
When the Maximize data throughput for network applications
option is selected, the windows
file cache is reduced in size so that application server
software, such as SAP system, has
more resources available. This also decrease the time needed
for the installation, especially for
the database import
For the installation, you need a user with administration
rights.
You need to prepare one host in SAP ERP Central Component
for the role of transport host.
Map the IP address of the transport host to the
SAPTRANSHOST, you can map the IP address to
the SAPTRANSHOST alias in the Hosts file
Goto <Drive>:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc
Open the Hosts file with an editor and add the line:
<IP_ADDRESS> <fully qualified hostname> <hostname> SAPTRANSHOST
e.g.,
10.22.8.00 twdf0000.wdf.sap.corp twdf0000 SAPTRANSHOST
Preparing for the SAPinst Installation in Windows
Install Java Development Kit on every host on which you want
to run SAPinst
Clean up the JDK\ext directory
Set JAVA_HOME environment
Add %JAVA_HOME%\bin to your system path
Install SAPinst
Start SAPinst from the SAP Master DVD, Double-click
sapinst.exe from in the directory
<G:\Setup\SAP_Installation_Master_ECC_ORA\IM1\SAPINST\NT\I386>
Install the Oracle Database software according to the SAP
specifications
Apply an Oracle Patch using the Universal Installaer
Apply a Oracle interim patch using the OPatch tool
Install a central instance
Install a ABAP Dialong Instance
Install a SAP Web AS Java Central Instance
Install a SAP Web AS Java Dialog Instance
Install a stand-alone SAP Gateway instance |

| Answer | Export the client in Background processing with SCC8
To perform a client export, follow these steps:
1. Log on to the source client. From the SAP initial screen,
choose transaction SCC8 (Client Export). Select the data to
be copied using a profile.
2. Indicate the target system to which the client will be
copied. The target system must be defined in TMS as part of
the transport domain.
3. Begin the client export. Because copying is a lengthy
process, use scheduled background processing.
You can check the status of the export with the transaction SE01
Import the client export requests into the target client
with TMS
Log on to the target client and activate post-import
processing with SCC7
To display client transport logs use the Transport Organizer
(transaction SE09) |

| Answer | To use the compare function, from the SAP systems initial
screen, choose transaction SCU0. The compare function
enables you to compare and adjust the contents of a table or
view in two different clients, using RFC connections. This
is especially useful after an upgrade or language import.
The objects that can be adjusted are some of the tables and
views that can be maintained using transaction SM30. All
other objects can only be compared.
Set client option: Protection level : 2
No overwriting, no external availability
All production clients should use this setting. |

| Answer | Hi,
to do any sort of customization work you need to create a
development package or a development class, while creating
it with the help of object navigator (SE80), or with the
help of Package Builder(SE21), you create a request number.
All your customization work is supposed to be saved in this
package. After all you work is done, now comes the actual
transport task.
Go to the Transport organizer(SE01), Click on the create
transport request (F6), after this select relocation of
complete package, and then give your package name and you
request number, This request is generated but is still
there in you source system. Now in the same transaction go
the the tab Transports, and then click on Display button.
Here you can see all the request that has been sent for
transport but are still there with the source system. The
request you generated would be here as well, click on the
plus sign and you would see the change request, click on
that and then click on the transport button on the top (The
red truck button on the application toolbar), After this,
go to the target system, login to it, and provided you have
appropriate authentication (S_CTS_ADMI authorization
profile) type STMS_IMPORT transaction code, click on the
refresh system button, select your request number and then
click on the button Import request (Again a truck but not
red) the import would be carried out.

| Answer | Hi my dear friend
In sap we have 3 types of landscape
one system landscape (Dev Qas Pro)
Two System Landscape (Dev and QAS) for Pro use diferrent
intance
and Three system landscape, they will use 1 for dev &
customization,2 for Testing and 3 for Prodution but what
sap recommends is Three system landscape is best because on
production server runs business if any thing goes wrong all
data will lost so sap always recomands three system
landscape, we can use one system landscape but it will have
high rick |
