Topology are of two types - 

a) Physical topology & 
b) Logical Topology.

Physical Topology - Physical topology describe how the
devices are physically cabled together.

Logical Topology - Logical topology describe how the devices
communicate across the physical topology. 


So term "PHYSICAL TOPOLOGY" wud be used to describe the
physical layout of the network
