how to calculate generator capacity?(kva)

first the total load to be catered is taken in kw
the load factor
diversity factor
efficiency of the generator
power factor is to be known

then calculate the kva rating of the generator by


kva= (kw*load factor)/(power factor* efficiency* diversity
factor)
AFTER THIS CALCULATION A CONTINGENCY FACTOR OF 10-20%
