It is term referring to the bending & rotating effect of an
eccentric force upon a member or joint is called
moment.when force is coming on the body towards against &
opposite each other is called shear.In shear connection
top & bottom flange of the connecting member is not welded
to the connected member & in moment conection top & bottom
flange of the connecting member is welded to the connected
member.
when more load is not coming on the connection that time
member can be rotate clockwise or counterclockwise so there
moment conection used.
