Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 3
convergent portion will increase velocity. divergent
portions are to reduce losses due to seperation

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 3 No

Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 4
during convergent portion, because of the own inertia of
the fluid it creats venacontracta. to reduce the friction
the divergent portion is provided.

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 1 No

Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 5
As we know from pascal law that PV=constant
and we also AV=constant which is volume flow rate so
whenever we are decreasing area at that region velocity
increases and we get required jet velocity

but where as in divergents we increase area decreasing
velocity and finally we get more pressure.

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 5 No

Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 6
as we know when the area decreases the velocity increases
so convergent section are used to increase the velocity
and divergent section are used to reduse the friction losses

Is This Answer Correct ?    0 Yes 0 No

Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 7
in order to increase the velocity of flow of fluid nozzles r made convergent in shape

while where there is necissity to get high pressure of water they r made divergent

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 1 No
Akash Patel

Re: Explain Why Nozzles are made convergent and Divergent?
Answer
# 8
In the convergent part pressure decreases and hence
velocity increases according to Bernouli's theorem . hence
Nozzles are made convergent .
convergent nozzles are used to get sonic velocity .when
requirement is more than sonic velocity convergent-
divergent nozzle are used, with a little loss due to
sepertation.

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 0 No
