Nonconformance to requirements or functional / program 
specification can be a defect. Defects are detected during 
testing. For all Practical purposes, Fault/Bug/Defect are 
synonymous.

Deffect is nothing but differentiate b/w expected and acual 
result.its founded by test eng...,while executing the test 
cases.
also we can say deviation from the customer requirements.
Deffect solved by developers.
also we can say code related mistake.
In all situation defect,bug,error,failurs,mistake all r 
same.
