1) ERW pipe:- Electrical Resistance welded tube, flat skelp
is to be converted gradually in to circular form and weld
through high frequency welder ,weld seam is appear in the
form of offset ,which is removed thro o.d. sgarfing tool.
2)shedule pipe:-it is aindicative of pipe thickness.
3) Seamless:-It is solid pipe without seam welding. it
extruded.
4) IBR pipe :- Meterial composition and pipe test are as
per IBR regulation approval, must have the IBR approved
cirtificate
ERW - Electrically resistive welding - sheet rolled to pipe
and long seam welded or strips rolled and spirally welded.
Normally pipes with DN more than 350 / 400 will be spirally
welded.
Schedule - Pipes will be normally mentioned by NB or DN
with Schedule no. like 10, 20, 40, 80 referring wall
thickness
Seamless Pipe - Pipe made from billets directly - hot &
cold extruded. Mainly used for high pressure applications.
IBR Grade Pipe - Pipes that are used for applications comes
under IBR. Describes the application, pipe manufacturing
standards, quality, MOC.
The higest value of thermal conductivity is expected for
a.) Solid ice
b.) Melting ice
c.) Water
d.) Boiling water
Give the thermal conductivity value for each.
