Answer
# 2
220V/50Hz system is used in india and Pakistan while
120V/60Hz is used in KSA and USA.

The advantage of 120V over 220V is human safety factor i.e.
less insulation required and less danger of electric shock
but it has the disadvantage that the initial cost increases.

Also size of electric equipment reduces with increase in
frequency such transformers etc.

WHEN WE USED 220 50 HZ SUPPLY WE CAN USE THIN ELECTRICAL
WIRES BUT FOR 120V 60 HZ SUPPLY WE NEED THICK WIRES.RICH
COUNTRU CAN PAY FOR 120V 60HZ AND SHOCK RATE IN CASE OF
120V IS LESS THAN 220V .HENCE FOR PERSONAL SAFETY REASONS
AND RICH , US. ETC ARE USING 220C 50HZ SUPPLY.

220v/50 Hz is economic as thin conductor is required
usually pakistan and india use this as it is a British standard however it is more dangerous than 120v/60 Hz which is american standard and expensive as thick conductor is required

Basicaly Pakistan, Uk, Europ are using 50hz and have
advantage less losses in reactive and easy transmission on
high voltage and disadvantade is large size of machine and
USA,KSA have 60 hz have advantage of smal size of machine
mean low coast and disadvantage is more losses in reactve
lose and low level of transmition
but both system have some advantage and disadvantage and
both area are try to improve their disadvantage to suite
the system for future

220V/50HZ - less frequency of sine wave propogation has
large distacve between alternation of current between Phase
& Neutral and gives 220V at Phase to Neutral on 50Hz
Frequency. simply lenthy propogation with higher voltage.
(Depends upon the LT Power transformer output)

120v/60HZ - High frequency of sine wave propogation has
less distacve between alternation of current between Phase
& Neutral and gives 120V at Phase to Neutral on 60Hz
Frequency.simply fast propogation with lower voltage.
(Depends upon the LT Power transformer output)
