applications, ur number is 2990 that means there are 2990
candidates who are qualified before u and it is according to
our application number series.

Is it clearrrrrrrrrrrr.  Do not worry about that 4 dig
number it is simply the number inorder to make thier process
more easy.  So leave that and prepare well for the interview.

hi neha i am an engineering graduate.and i have given my 
interviewon 13 it last for just 5 minute they asked me as 
you are engg. why do you want to join and second ques. was 
if a customer come in a bank what would you do to satisfy 
him.onlythese two ques. were asked from me.

hints: dont get tensed, be cool, have a confident , gothrow 
your subject (PG/UG), about SBI,current GK-ministers name 
and etc.

The questions which u have asked were already discussed by
pankaj and others, i think u did not check it out, 104
questiion, do not worry i am pasting the same over here.

Repo Rate  is the rate at which the RBI buys government 
securities from the market to infuse liquidity in the 
system.

Reverse Repo rate is the rate at which the RBI absorbs 
excess bank funds by selling government securities in the 
market.

Cash Reserve Ratio is the percentage of bank deposits which 
are statutorily parked with the RBI as reserve.

What is Repo Rate?
Ans:- Whenever the banks have any shortage of funds they can
borrow it from RBI. Repo rate is the rate at which our banks
borrow rupees from RBI. A reduction in the repo rate will
help banks to get money at a cheaper rate. When the repo
rate increases borrowing from RBI becomes more expensive.

2.	What is Cash Reverse Ratio?
Ans:- Cash reserve Ratio (CRR) is the amount of funds that
the banks have to keep with RBI. If RBI decides to increase
the percent of this, the available amount with the banks
comes down. RBI is using this method (increase of CRR rate),
to drain out the excessive money from the banks.

3.	What is Reverse Repo rate?
Ans:- Reverse Repo rate is the rate at which Reserve Bank of
India (RBI) borrows money from banks. Banks are always happy
to lend money to RBI since their money are in safe hands
with a good interest. An increase in Reverse repo rate can
cause the banks to transfer more funds to RBI due to this
attractive interest rates. It can cause the money to be
drawn out of the banking system. 
Due to this fine tuning of RBI using its tools of CRR, Bank
Rate, Repo Rate and Reverse Repo rate our banks adjust their
lending or investment rates for common man.

4.	What is Inflation?
Ans:- Inflation is defined as an increase in the price of
bunch of Goods and services that projects the Indian
economy. An increase in inflation figures occurs when there
is an increase in the average level of prices in Goods and
services. Inflation happens when there are less Goods and
more buyers, this will result in increase in the price of
Goods, since there is more demand and less supply of the goods.

5.	What is a Bank Rate?
Ans:- Bank rate is the rate at which RBI gives to the
commercial banks. Whenever RBI increases its rates, the
effect will be shown on the commercial banks. In this case,
the commercial banks have to increase the interest rates for
their profits.

 i faced interview on dt 18th, and the they ask randomly, 
no specific area is there to study. So it is advisable to 
cover all the areas u can including the Current ranking of 
Sania Mirza which was asked to me. Basically the questions 
will be asked from what u have mentioned in ur CV. so go 
thoroughly through what u hv mentioned in ur CV. The 
following questions were asked to me in the interview.
1. Tell me about ur native place n aboutthe city u r from?
2.What r the jobs of a clerk?
3.How can u b fit for the post of a clerk?
4.What is a Bank?What is NABARD?
5. The present economic situation of the world and itz 
impact on India.
6.question on hobies.
7.what is a CD?
8.what is CDR?
9.what is CDRW?
10.what is TFT?
11.how u will carry out instructions?
12.what is the current ranking of Sania Mirza? 
    thats all, so don't b norvous, b confident on ur

yes, i too heard that the overall posts have been increased 
to 30000.Yesterday i attended interview at hyderabad.As i 
thought,they are calling in alphabetical order. I came to 
know that interviews are going on at vizag and vijayawada 
also. If anyone has more info pl inform. My interview was a 
bit tough. they asked more questions and more from gk. 
nothing on hobbies and studies.

Hi friends,I have some doubts,can anyone try to answer.
As u all know there is huge competition.They told that they 
got 18 lakh applications for 20k posts which means all the 
selected candidates for the interview must be ranging 
between 3 to 4 marks.
Some say that interview is for 35 marks. If so is it not 
that just the interview is going to change the fate of 
candidates.
There are different boards and there is no correlation 
between the boards and they are at their own discretion of 
asking questions and awarding marks. Then where will be the 
uniformity.
Some candidates say they were asked only two questions. 
Some say they were asked simple questions. Some say they 
were asked tough questions. They how can this be justified.
Even I am too a bit disappointed. Because everyone told 
that they are asking from biodata. I prepared as such but 
they did not even ask a single question from the biodata. 
Nothing about hobbies. Nothing about graduation 
subjections, and nothing about my current employment. All 
GK questions.
Coming to hobbies, I wrote watching cricket. They asked me, 
why everyone writes cricket, is there no other game. If 
they ask such how could one answer. Is it not our wish to 
watch cricket. I really was very disappointed with their 
attitude.
If certainly their marks have weightage of 35 marks, i 
think only those with good covering skills will get bank 
job. what do u think friends.

an d what i came to know that they are giving good marks in
interview 30-35 ur score in written matters  most

but an avg  if ur intrvw is not really that bad then u can
expect 30-35 btw how was ur written

but our written was for 200 marks. then what is 65
