Normal Switch - we cannot configure normal switch that
means we cannot create VLAN in this Switch. with the help
of this switch we cannot create a separate broadcast domain
in the network
Manageable Switch - we can configure Manageable switch that
means we can create VLAN in this Switch. with the help of
this switch we can create a separate broadcast domain in
the network
normal switch : we can say that the normal swich are no
any changed the factrory settings or configurations.and we
can not be created a virtual lan .we can not be seprate
broadcast domain network.
managebale switch : this devices are as per requirement we
can chnged or modify the configuration like we can create a
VLAN .we can separate broadcast domain network.
Normal Switch :we cannot access normal switch through
telnet or tacacs id as it cannot give ip address to these
switches.
Manageable Switch:we can access Manageable switch through
telnet or tacacs id as we can give ip address to these
switches.
Normal Switch:- In Normal Switch we cannot create VLAN and
no configure normal switch and normal switch communicate
all time to other switch. For example we have a normal
switch having 14 port and all ports have a unique IP
address. I want to disable the 10nos port but i can't do
this because normal switch have no com port (this com port
is use to configure the switch or router with help of
consol cable). So this is non manageable switch.
Manageable Switch: - we can configure Manageable switch
with the help of com port or with help of consol cable that
means we can create VLAN in this switch and disable the any
port with create VLAN we can create a separate broadcast
domain in Jthe network
Managed switch has the ability to traffic control, VLANS,
Port blocking and a web interface for settings etc. A
managed switch may also have layer 3 functionality and can
be used to perform the same functions of a ROUTER.
Unmanaged switch does not have such abilities in fact no
ability other simple switching i.e. they just repeat what
they receive on their port to remaining ports, unmanaged
switches are also called dumb such as a dumb-hub.
In non-manageable switches there is no feature of creating
Virtual LAN or VTP... So we can connect only same class of
networks. Hence only one broadcast domain is possible...
But in Manageable switch, these features are implemented.
So we can create as many broadcast domains as possible.
Managed switch has the ability to traffic control, VLANS, Port blocking and a web interface for settings etc. A managed switch may also have layer 3 functionality and can be used to perform the same functions of a ROUTER.
Unmanaged switch does not have such abilities in fact no ability other simple switching i.e. they just repeat what they receive on their port to remaining ports, unmanaged switches are also called dumb such as a dumb-hub.
Futher Managed switch is good if you have more than 1000 users as that network may require traffic shaping and priorities such as voice and data etc, and yes managed switch is expensive as compare to unmanaged so think before investing
unmanaged switches can not create vlan and VTP Domain and
only one broadcast domain. unmanaged switches can not access
through telnet and has no ability to control the traffic and
can not configure and does not have com port to configure
router and switches and routers with the help of console port.
Managed Switches- Managed switches can create vlan and VTP
Domain and when we will create 10 vlan then then we can
create 10 broadcast domain. Managed switches can access
through telnet and has ability to control the traffic and
can configure and have com port to configure router and
switches and routers with the help of console port and it
can have layer 3 device functionally such as router same.

When a Distance Vector routing protocol detects that a connected
network
has gone down, it sends out a special routing update packet,
telling all
directly connected routers that the distance to the dead
network is
infinity. This is an example of which routing technology?

B.) Only Link State routing protocols have this intelligence.
C.) Triggered updates.
D.) Garrison-4.
E.) Split Horizon.

Hi, Jitendra/Shahin
You both are masters of networking na. I am worrying about
my exam. Is it vey tough?because my friend got failed in
ccna. he is very talented person thogh he failed.
