where we prepare it? What are contents of it?

Tracebility matrix we can call it as Tracebility requriment
matrix.

TRM in the sense,mapping between the requirments and
testcases.Why we do this is to check whether the total
functionality of an appliaction is covered or not.

FORMAT (OR) CONTENTS
1.REQUIREMENT ID
2.TESTCASE ID
3.RESULT(PASS/FAIL)
4.DEFECT ID
5.DEFECT STATUS(CLOSED/DEFERRED)
6.COMMENTS

Tracebility requirements matrix means what type of testing 
topics should be appliing on the software application.This 
was prepared bu business analyst.The contents of trm is 
functional testing, non-functional testing, load testing , 
user acceptance testing, stress testing, perfomance 
testing, maintanace testing....etc
