Answer
# 1
Hello. For our university experiment (power transmission
lines) , at first,
we only had a resistive load, and it was shown that
the sending end voltage is bigger than receiving end
voltage. However, when the capacitive load was added in
parallel to the resistive load, it was shown that the
sending end voltage was approximately equal to the
receiving end voltage. Why is it so?

Thank you and have a great day.

Answer

When resistive load connected then will be voltage drop (
Vd=I^2R Losses are Directly per potion to square of
current ), there for sending end voltage higher then
receiving end voltage
If connected capacitive load then bothe voltage my be equal
or receiving end voltage higher due lie capacitance, like
the theory of capacitor

Dear Frnds

as we all knows that the total power is equal to real power
plus reactive power. we have resistive as well as
capacitive loads in general.

since we cant make any changes to reduce the resistive load
we are adding a capacitor banks to match the voltage.
capacitors have the caracteristic that it can store a
voltage. when we add a capacitor obviously the stored
energy in the capacitor will be added to the total voltage.

Answer

generally we r used resistive load but whenever capacitive
load is to be paralled with it which will improved power
factor and minimize voltage drop due to resistance so
losses will be less and we will get same sending end power
or more at receiving end

i think this is right answer but if my ans. is wrong then
inform me
