v means verification and validation
verification during programe in process
validation during application build

It's look like a v-shape so that's why it is called as v 
model.it is mainly developed for testing purpose.left hand 
side of v contains all the documents and right hand side 
contains all testing levels.so testers can test the 
application by verifing the oppropriate documents.

left side of the v shape is the process of static testing 
means all the verifications takes place.
right side of the v shape is completely testers work which 
includes smoke , functional test, regression, integration, 
sanity testings.
means verification and validation both will happen with this
static test and dynamic test.
means verification and validation.
