Re: what is routing and routed protocol ?
Answer
# 1
routing protocol is dynamically to find the route and
automatically update the routing table.example for routing
protocols are RIP,OSPF,IGRP,EIGRP.

Routed protocols is if u know the route, than manually enter
the route in routing table.example for routed protocols
IP,IPX...

Answer
# 2
Routing protocol:--- A set of message, rules, algorithm
used by routers for the overall purpose of learning routes.
each router choose the best route to each subnet {path
selection} and finally place those best route in it ip
routing table.... eg:- rip, igrp, eigrp....

routed protocol:--- refer to a protocol that define a
packet structure and logical addressing, allowing routers
to forward or route the packet.

Answer
# 5
Routing protocols:Routing protocols are the protocols to
used to find the best path to send the data from the source
to destination with the help of their matric.

Routed protocol:Routed protocols are the protocols which
are used to carry out the data over the network .

ex:ip,ipx,appletalk

Re: what is routing and routed protocol ?
Answer
# 6
Routing Protocol - Routing Protocol is responsible For
Sending and Receiving a Route from One Router to another
Router in the Network. When Ever We Will Enable a Routing
protocol on the router, in That case Router Automatically
creates A Route on the router. As for Example-RIP, IGRP,
EIGRP, and OSPF

Routed Protocol - Routed Protocol is responsible for
provides the communication From Source device To
Destination Device in the Network. As For Example-TCP/IP,
IPX/SPX, apple talk

hi
there is little bit confussion b/w ur 1st part of question
are u asking about roting or routing protocol, both have the
diffrent diffination
ok
at firstly i am going to difine what is routing
routing-routing is a process to take data/farme.packet from
posttion and deliver it to another possition is called
routing in other ways we can say that picking the data from
source and transfer it to the distinations is called
routing.
ok now routing protocol= protocall is a set of rules.are u
aggry with that?ok then the rules by which any routing
process take place is caleed routing protocall
that is
staic routing protocaol
dynamic routing protocol
distance vector routing protocol
link state roting protocall
hybrid routing protocall
these are the some name of protocall by which routng take
place.
ok now routed protocol-
routed protocol=once all router know bout all the n/w
routed protocol can be used to send user data through the
establish enterprise.
routed protocol assigined to an interface and determine the
method of packet dlivery
exmaple are
ip and ipx
